Amaya is a counsellor.  Her natural empathy, mentoring and coaching style to promote positive change sparked a lifetime desire to formally qualify as a counsellor and coach at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Utilising positive psychology techniques, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and solution focused brief therapies, Amaya combines these theories with counselling and coaching skills to help people realise their full potential and to help those become “unstuck.”

Amaya has experience in working with drug and / or alcohol addiction, combined with mental health issues such as phobias, anxiety and depression.

An accredited, experienced and regular Telephone Crisis Support for Lifeline, Amaya has the ability to apply empathic and safe intervention for those at risk of suicide.

Many clients come to Amaya for support in self-esteem issues, self-identity, being “stuck” or are simply overwhelmed.
